We are GnomeWorks Puzzles, LLC: a company composed of three diligent, dedicated gnomes residing in the Appalachian Mountains. We began this company hoping to offer not only superior quality puzzles but also something fresh and new for puzzle lovers everywhere: contemporary art cut into unusual and fun puzzle pieces. Each piece of art is mounted onto formaldehyde free, approximately quarter-inch, multi-layered American hardwoods, and the completed image is then laser-cut according to our own original puzzle design. We design our hand-crafted puzzles according to each individual work of art in order to offer an unusual and challenging puzzle experience. Whimsical pieces or silhouette puzzle pieces are incorporated into each puzzle design unless otherwise noted; these puzzle pieces are carefully chosen to reflect the theme and mood of the artwork. All our puzzle images have a matte finish to help reduce glare when assembling the puzzle. In an effort to find an unusual and clever method of packaging our puzzles, we turned to the history of puzzle-making. While researching this rich history, we discovered that early twentieth century amateur puzzle cutters recycled cigar box woods to cut their puzzle designs. Following in the footsteps of that history, we package our all our puzzles (except littles, and wedding guest book puzzles) in boxes that are custom-designed to mimic old-time cigar boxes. Within this box, you will find that each puzzle is cradled in felt with an image of the chosen artwork located on the underside of the lid (so that you can use the original image as a guide if you so choose).

Thoughts on America:
Our politicians are not going to protect American manufacturing jobs. We, the people, are the only ones that can insure that our citizens are able to work. How? By purchasing American-made goods whenever possible.
