Dixie Seating Company was formed in the late 1930’s in Statesville, North Carolina. It has been a primary supplier of steam bent ladder back chairs, barstools, juvenile items and rocking chairs since its inception. In 1994, The Company was acquired by The Emerson Group, Inc. and has experienced a period of growth and revitalization. The basis for these improvements has been through the introduction of modern supply chain and manufacturing techniques culminating in the opening of a new Manufacturing facility in January 2005 in Scotts, North Carolina. This new facility has lead to additional process improvements and the growth of production capacity. State of the Art Finishing capabilities additionally have been added to provide for the widest variety of product finishes. One thing that did not change though was the commitment to the time tested method of product manufacturing that has allowed Dixie Seating to set itself apart from lower quality production methods. Dixie Seating Company in 2003 formally introduced the DSC Commercial brand to strengthen its business in the commercial market. It has concentrated its efforts on providing features and benefits for the growing restaurant, education school and hospitality markets. |
