We started Bound because we wanted a product that didn't exist.
In 2009, Joel Sadler went on a road trip up the West Coast with his wife and wanted to create a travel journal customized for his trip. After researching for a while he realized that if he wanted it, he was going to have to make it. Michael Faber joined forces with Joel shortly thereafter to design the product. In 2011, David Faber joined the team to make the dream of customizing & ordering a journal online a reality. The three live and work in downtown Durham.
Bound officially launched in 2011 after a tremendous boost from the Bull City Startup Stampede and the generous support of 298 backers on Kickstarter. |
