Gluten Free Oats® was founded by our family who has three generations of people with celiac disease. It started from an FFA project and grew into a business that is now spreading across America. Our son, who was diagnosed with celiac disease at the age of 2 1/2, always wondered how no-bake cookies tasted. When he was a freshman in high school he searched for 3 months to find a source of oats that could be called gluten free, to sell as his FFA business. He found a source that he felt comfortable with and started rolling and marketing the rolled oats to our local celiac support group. Because it was so popular with this group he expanded his business to encompass the state of Wyoming through our state CSA support groups. We are personally contract with Seeds Man in our area so we can educate them on our requirements and be able to offer our Gluten Free Oats ® to you and throughout the United States. |

Thoughts on America:
Gluten Free Oats, LLC is a true American dream of a young High School FFA student in 2004 that wanted to give back to others on a GF diet. We have grown domestically in addition to creating export opportunities for our USA grains helping return dollars back to the USA. It started on the kitchen table and grew into a 4800 sq ft plant that we have already out grown and getting ready to build again. Our goal is to serve people on a GF diet with the best tasting SAFE oats by controlling the product from our pedigree seed all the way to the package. In order to create new jobs and crop opportunities for the USA and not import cheap Canadian grain as some other companies in the states do, we only grow our oats close to home. As the only gluten free oat mill that is owned and operated by celiacs on a GF diet, it is not a business, it is our lifestyle and proud to say it is in the USA. As Americans, we need to remember that “a pessimist is one who makes difficulties of his opportunities, and an optimist is one who makes opportunities of his difficulties.” per Harry Truman and no matter what “opportunities” we receive it is our responsibility to follow Matthew 7:12 “So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.” So start each day with each of these in mind and you will make a difference. God Bless USA! |
