Wooden-Gear-Clocks is family owned and operated by Jeff and Marcie Schierenbeck in Altoona, WI. They have been selling wooden gear clocks, clock kits, and clock plans since 2003.
The clocks are original designs by Jeff. He began creating all wood clocks using a scroll saw. When others expressed interest in his clocks, however, he realized that it would not be possible to produce them cost effectively with the scroll saw. So, precision laser cutting was introduced to allow accurate production of clock kits at a reasonable cost.
Jeff has enjoyed the entire process of bringing these clock to production. Now he enjoys sharing his clock with others in a way that allows them to experience the satisfaction of creating their own wooden gear clock. It has really been a joy meeting thousands of new friends with a common interest.
Jeff has worked as a math/physics teacher and as a structural engineer. He also does custom furniture building and cabinetmaking. Jeff has created plans for several furniture pieces he designed; these plans are being sold through a large woodworking supply company.
If you have any questions about the our wooden gear clocks, or clocks in general, please contact Jeff. He's always happy to hear from others who share an interest in clocks! |
