The "Palm Beach" sandal a.k.a. Navajo was originally designed and hand-made for Jacqueline Kennedy in the early 1960's by shoe designer Luigi Pucillo and my parents Benny and Eva Bonanno of W. Palm Beach Florida. Dad, a cobbler by trade, and Mom, an expert with color, displayed their hand-crafted sandals on the counter of their shoe repair shop for custom ordering. In 1963 they began displaying their craft using the finest leathers. Mom would hand stamp, and whip-stitch, while Dad lasted and sewed the sandals together one pair at a time in the Good Ole' USA! In 1989, upon my Dad's passing, I took over the family business and we continue the tradition that makes every pair a truly authentic hand-crafted work of art. |

Thoughts on America:
We have suspended from the ceiling of our factory a huge American flag given to us by a local VET ... We live in the most amazing country in the world. We are proud to be American. |
