If finding affordable, high quality furniture was easy, Nec-A-Nec wouldn't exist.
My wife Susan and I attempted to purchase a well made, reasonably priced play table for our daughters a few years ago. While they exist, few are reasonably priced or made in the U.S.A. The train/play tables made by brand name toy manufacturers are made overseas with inexpensive labor, substandard materials, and cannot withstand the rigorous play of children. The price tag for these tables is high to begin with, but astronomical if you consider their lack of durability.
I decided to make a play table for my daughters. I am a wood worker and had the tools required to make a stout 18" high table.
The above short history brings us to the present.
The cost of manufacture of our tables prohibits us from selling to stores. The store owner must make a living also, so mark-ups are substantial. By selling direct on the Internet we're able to provide you with a superior product at a competitive price.
We will be expanding our line over time, but the tables will always be our foundation.

Thoughts on America:
It's about time we wrest control from greedy shareholders who followed over-compensated MBA-waving executives down to the sea and watched U.S. manufacturing disappear to distant shores in the name of quarterly profits. BUY AMERICAN! |
