Growing up on an 84-foot schooner in Olympia, Washington has left an indelible mark on Quinn Thompson, owner and designer of Saint Grace, a collection of luxuriously soft modern basics. A sense of adventure has always been a part of his personality, along with an “anything can be accomplished” attitude. Since launching Saint Grace in Los Angeles in December 2001, with a single line of 70’s inspired washed and worn tees, the line has grown into a full collection of versatile basics in quality fabrics.
Influenced by the burgeoning Los Angeles fashion scene, Saint Grace adds a bit of funky sophistication to women’s casual wear. Quinn is a big fan of vintage – from cars and motorcycles to T-shirts, so it is fitting that he sources buttery soft fabrics to replicate the soft jersey pieces that defined the 1970’s with a design philosophy that focuses on Color, Fit, and Feel. The name SAINT GRACE refers to Quinn’s favorite girl’s name, “Grace” – a name he hopes to bestow upon his first daughter. “Saint” was prefaced to illustrate his affection for Grace and his respect for women in general.
As the purveyor of “Classic with a Twist”, Saint Grace often leads the fashion trends with new styles in unique fabrics. Every fabric used in the Saint Grace collection has been “tweaked” by Quinn so that no other brand has the same fabric.
The new wool jersey collection is exclusive to Saint Grace – the fit and style of which is unsurpassed. Great basic pieces made of jersey, modal, pointelle jersey, Supima® cotton and Egyptian cotton, and most recently, soft and luxurious cashmere -- have made Saint Grace a favorite of Hollywood celebrities like Scarlett Johansson, Jessica Simpson, and Lindsay Lohan among others.
A true Southern California brand, Saint Grace’s modern basics that translate seamlessly from day to night in wrinkle free, lightweight fabrics, can be found nation wide at upscale boutiques like Lisa Kline and Fred Segal in Los Angeles and Barneys and Big Drop in New York City.
